Derek is a Commercial executive with global experience (USA, Europe, China, Japan) with turnarounds, as a change-agent, cost-cutter, joint venture and growth generator with Commercial, Operations and Marketing experience for established corporations (Air Mauritius/RavnAir Group/British Airways) and start-ups. Available for short and medium-term consulting contracts as well as full-time employment.
As a Chief Commercial Officer he has both revenue and P&L responsibilities. Senior level experience in revenue management & pricing, global sales, customer relationship management, contract and codeshare negotiations, network planning, product development, e-Commerce strategies and ancillary revenue growth. He has opened new markets and air routes for major global travel related companies, including new distribution and client development strategies. Derek created a boutique consulting service and was President of Discover the World Marketing, the largest global travel sales & marketing representation company.
